A Quick Update

Drs. Bess and Foster-Singletary were fired. Dr. Bess was re-hired and Dr. Foster-Singletary was hired at a better paying institution.

Why start something you can't keep up?

How on earth do people blog all the time? It was cool when I thought about a blog, but then life got all the way in the way. I will try harder this time...key word TRY.

They Shoot Horses Don't They?

All I can say is WTF? Drs. Bess and Foster-Singletary have been let go. It is wrong of the administration to think that the young and vibrant of the faculty members should go the way of the VCR. Put the old folks down for rest not the ones that give and give with little to nothing in return...Really Clark Atlanta U.? Really?

This Life is Mine

Why is it that people who appear to be adults and educated are so blind? In this day and age there are so many things to worry about other than the sexual orientation of your neighbor. Of six children I happen to be the youngest. Of six children I happen to be the only one that is not allowed to get married to the woman I have been in a stable, caring, loving relationship with for six years. The reason? Of course you already knew the answer...I am a lesbian. Why should that matter? I know it's a little late but that Prop 8 mess really threw me off. Not only did it mess up our plans for our family vacation, (we have two daughters), but my special surprise of moving from talking about getting married to actually doing it. We just want what everyone else has, the freedom to choose.
